DIY Loop Christmas Wreath

Easy 20 Minute DIY Loop Christmas Wreath

Today, we’re getting into the holiday spirit by creating this DIY loop Christmas wreath. It was so much fun to make! If you’re feeling a little low on holiday cheer, or your front door is empty, let’s get a hot glue gun and some yarn in your hand.

How to make a festive DIY loop Christmas wreath…

Before we dive too deep in, let’s round up our supplies. I’m sure you may be tired of shopping this year for the holidays, so to make this DIY super easy you can check out my shopping list on Amazon!

However, if you already have some things at home, here’s the full list of what you’ll need to create your very own Christmas loop wreath:

  1. Surebonder Mini Cordless Glue Gun: As a frequent crafter, I believe no glue gun is created equally. This one is my absolute favorite that I use for all of my crafts.
  2. Mini Glue Stick Refills: There’s no such thing as having too many glue stick refills when you’re working on crafts.
  3. Antique Small Gold Bells: These add a little extra touch of charm to your wreath!
  4. 14” Green Floral Wreath Form: You can do a bigger or smaller wreath, however, I think a 14” wreath is the perfect size to make a statement on your home’s front door.
  5. Green Loop Yarn: You can truly do this wreath in any color, but this is the shade of green I chose and I love the quality of this yarn.

Now that we have our supplies, we can start crafting.

Follow these simple steps to weave your front door’s new wreath:

  1. Start by gluing the end of the yarn to the wreath foam form. A small dab of glue will do the trick here!
  2. Wrap the loop yard around the wreath about 5 times and then scrunch it together. Secure the last wrap in place with a small beat of glue.
  3. Repeat step 2 until your entire wreath is covered!
  4. To finish, you’ll grab the antique gold bells and hot glue them to the wreath at whatever length you like best.
DIY Christmas project

The Christmas loop wreath was easy to do, especially once you get the hang of it. It would be a super fun DIY during the kids’ nap time or as you’re unwinding watching television in the background. The best part is, this DIY wreath truly can be done in any season with any color of yarn during any season. You could even combine colors like a pastel color combination for spring! You may see a loop wreath on my front door in a few colors in 2024.

Don’t forget, you can shop my Amazon list to find all the supplies you need for this one! Grab your crafting supplies, turn on your favorite Christmas music or Christmas movie, and let’s get in the spirit!
